We have recently teamed up Tutora – ‘get kids out learning campaign’ because we passionately believe in getting children and young adults outside the classroom and participating in challenging outdoor adventure activities. Being based in Cornwall, we have natures’ playground on our doorstep; creating the perfect environment for school and youth groups to take part in exciting activities in the ocean and on the cliff.
We have always been supportive and pro-active in welcoming school groups here at Cornwall Waverunner Safaris and understand that through adventure activities, children are able to improve both confidence and self esteem.
Children love being outdoors – learning through play and being inspired to explore the amazing world around them. But with the summer holidays coming up it’s easy for kids to quickly become bored – and for parents to worry about keeping them engaged with learning.
In fact, a recent study found that during the summer holidays, with no school classes to attend, children will on average lose 1.8 months worth of learning progress!
At Tutora, we know the value of keeping children busy learning over the summer. That’s why we’ve started our ‘Get Kids Out Learning!’ campaign.
Get Kids Out Learning is an easy way for families to find fun days out local to them, but which still provide great learning and educational opportunities for the kids. The website pulls together all of the best educational venues across the UK and allows parents to search for them by region to quickly see all the information they need to plan a great day out!
Through Get Kids Out Learning, we’re encouraging more families to drop the smartphone, step away from the laptop and head outside to create learning experiences, memorable for years to come.
‘Our aim is to help as many families as possible and make sure that every child is able to achieve their best in school! Seeing the regression which can happen over the Summer holidays, we wanted to help tackle the problem – what better way than to get children visiting the wonderful educational venues we have across the UK?!’
